Abstract: Field and laboratory permeability tests are being performed to evaluate the durability of concrete in Florida. These tests are part of an extensive research program to develop a durability specification for concrete mixtures and a durability rating system for concrete structure. This paper describes the permeability tests being utilized in the research and their benefits. Also included is an overview of the research program and a discussion of the main findings.
