Document Type: Proceeding Paper
Part of: Structural Engineering in Natural Hazards Mitigation
Abstract: In the present paper the importance of the dissipated energy on the actual structural behaviour of low-dissipative structures as glulam portal frames with mechanical fasteners under seismic actions is considered accordingly to the format of Eurocode 8, the European code for Structures in seismic zones.
Subject Headings: Seismic design | Wood structures | Load and resistance factor design | Structural safety | Structural behavior | Seismic tests | Earthquake resistant structures
