Abstract:

An overview of some primary considerations for the use of adhesives and their advantages in connection of structural plastics is presented. Effective joint geometries, surface preparations, and the selection process is described. Epoxies, polyurethane, cyanoacrylates, methacrylates, and solvent cements and their advantages as adhesives are characterized.
