Abstract:

The Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) is currently conducting an experiment under SHRP project H-106 to evaluate the performance of various materials and procedures used in making pavement surface repairs. These repairs include: PCC joint resealing, PCC spall repair, AC crack sealing and filling, and AC pothole repair. Many test installations have been constructed throughout the U.S. and Canada and they are periodically being evaluated. Performance information collected from the field evaluations will be analyzed with installation data and laboratory testing data in order to report on the best materials and procedures. This paper summarizes the installations associated with AC crack treatment and pothole repair.
