Abstract:

Most available results in the study of structural reliability deal with idealized mathematical representation of structures. With model supported diagnosis of the structural condition including damage detection and localization, the reliability function should be updated correspondingly. The problem of structural reliability, including the effect of active control is formulated herein. Possible solutions are suggested and discussed.
