Abstract: A circulation and water quality modelling system for use in areas where horizontal transport is dominating is presented. The water quality can either be described as BOD-DO processes or as eutrophication processes at the lower trophic levels. The coupling of the advection-dispersion and water quality calculations is discussed. An example on the use of the system for a Danish Fiord is also given.
