Abstract:

Eventually, people will return to the Moon to stay for prolonged periods of time. When they do, they will be exposed to a wide range of threats to their health including, decompression sickness, radiation, low gravity, and environmental contamination. In order to prevent and treat medical problems that will arise, a physician in residence, and an extensive health maintenance facility will be needed on the Moon.
