Abstract: A p-version finite element formulation is presented for determining temperature stresses in laminated composite axisymmetric problems. Formulation for a rectangular axisymmetric p-version element is discussed and detailed derivation of the temperature load vector given. Numerical examples using this p-version model are presented and are found to be in excellent agreement with closed form analytical solution.
