Abstract:

The functions of the veins is to convey blood from the periphery to the heart. The distribution and transportation of blood between different parts of the body is regulated by a host of physical and chemical factors, many of which are incompletely understood at present time. Unquestionably, the venous valves play a vital role in the venous return. This paper address to the hydrodynamic behavior of the venous valve based on the results of an vitro experiment performed in a hydraulic flow system.
