Abstract: The lid-driven cylindrical cavity flows in the laminar region are quantitatively visualized by a new flow visualization method called the digital vector velocimetry method. Particle streak images from the particle streak velocimetry method are also taken and qualitatively compared with the velocity vector field obtained from the DVV method.The dynamic range of the velocity is expanded using feedback analysis that selects consistent velocity vectors.
