Abstract:

In traffic monitoring systems many detectors are in widespread use to provide the necessary information. Image and video processing is one of the most defiant newcoming technologies in this domain. Based on the 5 years of field experiences in Belgium, Devlonics Control has commercialised the CCATS (Camera and Computer Aided Traffic sensor) from 1987 on. The traffic information from the sensors can be centralised with the PC compatible DTMSA software package (Devlonics Traffic Monitoring Software Advanced). Recently, Devlonics Control introduced their new system for video image digitalisation, image storage and image transmission, called DRS (Devlonics red light and speed system).
