Abstract:

This paper deals with the problem of earthquake response analysis of pipelines, empty or fully filled with liquid and buried at a finite depth below the ground surface. Emphasis is placed upon searching for the effect of boundary surface on the responses for different buried depths. Comparative studies are made on the relation of various response variables to buried depths and liquid filling conditions, etc.
