Abstract:

This paper presents the use of inductive learning in the analysis of construction accidents. It provides a brief description of ROUGH, an inductive system based on the theory of rough sets. This system has been used to analyze 225 examples, based on actual accident records. The analysis included the generation of decision rules and the construction of learning curves for a number of parameters describing the learning process.
