Appropriate Technology in Hydraulic Engineering

by Susan Scott-Stevens, Development and Technology Transfer, Boulder, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulic Engineering

Abstract:

Appropriate, and successful, technology transfer is contingent upon the simple dictum: technology transfer is context dependent and context specific. Optimum success in the transfer of what constitutes an appropriate technological 'package' [hardware and software] is one in which both parties involved learn some degree of 'software' from each other.
