Abstract: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Agency for International Development are cosponsoring preparation of water reuse guidelines. The guidelines are being developed to encourage and facilitate the orderly planning, design, and implementation of water reclamation and reuse projects in the U.S. and abroad. The guidelines, currently under development, will address many aspects of reuse, including technical criteria, legal, regulatory, and institutional issues, and economics.
