Abstract:

A network of coastal HF radars is being established to provide real-time coverage of ocean surface currents, onshore waves, and ultimately wind fields over Monterey Bay. Data products therefrom are to be made available to scientific and environmental users. These surface products - continuous over space and long time periods - are to be related to larger-scale oceanographic and climatological phenomena for this general coastal region of California.
