Abstract: Finite element formulations for fluid filling problems with solidification are derived using previously developed unified transformation techniques. The nonlinear formulation for two phase Stefan problems is implemented on a fixed grid domain. Preliminary numerical results illustrating uncoupled fluid filling and solidification are presented.
