Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: High Level Radioactive Waste Management 1991

Abstract:

Studies for EPRI have been performed by two contractors to develop conceptual designs for small cask to large cask transfers of spent fuel. From the work, two dry transfer concepts and one wet pool concept were developed. The techniques appear to be feasible and cost estimates indicate that the economics are competitive.
