This publication consists of the papers presented at the special sessions of the 1988 ASCE National Conference on Hydraulic Engineering held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, August 8-10, 1988 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Hydraulics Division. These papers describe the contributions made by the Hydraulics Division to the advancement of hydraulic engineering from 1938 to 1988.
