Abstract:

This book, which was prepared by the Committee on Compression Members of the Structural Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers, attempts to provide a complete bibliography of references in English on steel columns through the summer of 1984. The references are classified into four separate categories: (1) physical tests, (2) specifications, (3) critical load evaluation, and (4) other. This fourth category contains references concerning such things as columns subjected to moments, columns as they participate in the maximum strength of frames, and columns as they participate in the maximum strength of portions of frames, including methods of plastic and elastic-plastic analyses. The bibliography is arranged alphabetically by the author's last name.
