Abstract: The paper presents the experimental research and parameters optimization of a prototype oscillating water column (OWC) wave power device being built in China by Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion. Being different from the usual OWC experiments, the topography next to the device was taken into account, the effect of the harbour in front of the device was investigated, and the shapes of the harbour was optimized in the experiment.
