Abstract: The hydronamic model RMA-2V has been verified on a variety of global circulation studies. These studies rarely involved separated flow patterns around sudden expansions or contractions. This paper presents results from numerical and physical studies of separated flow around a solitary dike. Particular emphasis is placed on eddy viscosity and mesh refinement issues as they pertain to numerical model accuracy.
