Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulics/Hydrology of Arid Lands (H?AL)

Abstract:

The development of a hydrologic drought index (HDI) based on drought severity is presented along with a new formulation for drought termination probabilities. Results indicate that termination rate probability curves vary according to discrete levels of HDI. Data is presented for the Sacramento River near Red Bluff, California.
