Abstract:

Data from 108 small plot rainfall simulator experiments on pinyon-juniper woodlands in Arizona and New Mexico were analyzed to determine quantifiable effects of cover on hydrologic and sediment yield parameters. Significant effects were identified and linear models were developed to quantify them. Other published techniques for rangelands were applied to the data with limited success.
