Part of: Optimizing the Resources for Water Management

Abstract:

The Lower Colorado River Authority has developed a plan for the management of an interruptible water supply for demands which do not require a firm commitment of specific amounts of water. The plan utilizes a rule curve for overdrafting of the Highland Lakes during years of ample water supply while assuring the availability of water to meet firm demands during the critical drought of record.
