Abstract:

The installation of increasingly sophisticated telemetry systems for data collection within the water supply and distribution networks has progressed rapidly in recent years. This has resulted in vast quantities of telemetry data being made available for water systems control. In order to make the most efficient use of this telemetry data, particularly for on-line control applications, the data must be managed and processed efficiently and reliably. This paper presents the main considerations for effective management of telemetry data for control applications in water supply and distribution systems.
