Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to summarize the research being conducted by the U.S. Army Institute for Water Resources in providing technical assistance to the Installation Planning Division, Office of Assistant Chief of Engineers, Pentagon, Washington in the area of water supply planning and conservation for military installations. This research is being performed in response to recommendations contained in a report on the subject by the Army Science Board (ASB) ad hoc subcommittee entitled 'Water Supply and Management on Army Installations in the Western United States'.
