Abstract: In order to detect and correct defects in a timely, cost effective manner, HVAC system commissioning has recently been used as part of building construction. Preliminary evidence suggests that proper and complete commissioning is cost effective. It is probable that more comprehensive building commissioning will become standard construction practice during the next few years.
