Abstract:

The urbanized coastal areas of southeast Louisiana present unique problems for hydraulic engineers. These problems relate to the design of drainage systems serving leveed areas with flat terrain which require pumping stations in order to remove runoff. Some examples of these problems are discussed in this paper.
