Abstract:

This paper describes the development and application of a set of microcomputer models for the evaluation of a complex water resources project. The Los Vaqueros Model includes components for the analysis of project operations, and for estimating the project's capital and O&M costs. Background information that is presented describes the need for the Los Vaqueros project and the needs and purposes for developing each model. The paper presents the design of each component of the model and some preliminary results from its use in evaluating the project.
