Abstract:

Various classes of knowledge used in reservoir design, planning and operations for improving the efficiency of the optimization processes are discussed in this paper. A prototype system (REZES) developed for the reservoir analysis is demonstrated. The system contains the knowledge necessary to formulate the problem, to select appropriate optimization algorithms, to control the solution process, and to analyze the final results.
