Abstract:

The procedures adopted to achieve improved economic operation of the water supply and distribution system serving the town of Wolverhampton (UK) are described. An outline description is given of the computer facilities, the control philosophy and the computer programs. The results obtained demonstrate the value of modern computer control methods.
