A Shopper's Guide to Urban Stormwater Software, Revisited

by Gary L. Lewis, EA Engineering, Science, & Technology Inc, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Soil Properties Evaluation from Centrifugal Models and Field Performance

Abstract:

Results of a survey of urban stormwater software were first discussed by the author in August, 1985. A trend toward widespread adoption of SCS procedures as a new standard in urban hydrology was noted and discussed. This paper revisits some of the themes identified in the earlier paper, extends the survey using vendor literature from a few other packages, and points to the growing need for evaluation of analytical methods in urban hydrology, and for a comparative evaluation of the software itself.
