Wetland Impacts of Center Pivots in Wheeler Co., NEby Gary L. Lewis, EA Engineering, Science, & Technology Inc, United States,
Document Type: Proceeding Paper
Part of: Planning Now for Irrigation and Drainage in the 21st Century
Abstract: This paper describes an investigation of wetlands impacts from an intensive center-pivot irrigation operation in a 17,000 acre portion of Nebraska's Sandhills region. Well data and precipitation records do not support the hypothesis that excess irrigation over an aquitard area has raised groundwater levels.
