Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to give a short history of the first hydropower development by non-Federal interests at a Corps of Engineers flood control dam and reservoir within the jurisdiction of the New England Division. Two small hydropower projects have been constructed at the Corps North Hartland Lake project on the Ottaquechee River in Hartland, Vermont. Both projects came on line in 1985.
