Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Materials and Member Behavior

Abstract:

In this paper, the material properties and structural member behavior of normal and high-strength concretes are summarized. The current ACI code recommendations are based on results of concretes with compressive strengths less than 6000 psi. The code recommendations are examined in light of the results observed for material properties as well as structural member behavior.
