Abstract:

A numerical model capable of simulating transport and dispersion of mass in an unsteady, non-uniform flow field has been developed. Model results compare quite well with existing analytical and other numerical transport models which are generally limited to steady flows. Simulation results for a contaminant released in an unsteady flow are presented.
