Abstract:

Beach nourishment to mitigate shore damage attributed to Great Lakes harbor structures has been underway for over ten years. Experience has shown that using gravel/cobble size material can greatly increase the effectiveness of the beach nourishment. During the current record high Great Lakes water levels, it is imperative to provide the greatest amount of protection with the available funds.
