Abstract:

The Guadalupe Corridor Light Rail Transit project is a massive undertaking that will be built in segments from San Jose to Santa Clara, CA. The $372 million project involves numerous agencies on federal, state and local levels, and to keep everything organized, O'Brien Kreitzberg & Associates were retained for construction management. In order to have an integrated management, OKA involved members from the numerous agencies in a management planning team. This group was responsible for organizing the control of cash expenditures, keeping a tight construction schedule, maintaining quality and limiting change orders. By keeping all of the agencies informed and involved, OKA achieved a successful management program.
