Abstract:

This paper discusses the implementation of infiltration practices in Maryland. The benefits of infiltration are briefly discussed along with the regulatory background. Standards and Specifications for Infiltration Practices have been developed and provide a framework for proper design and construction. Feasibility tests are presented along with appropriate design methodologies. Experiences with implementation in Maryland are discussed along with additional related research activities. Some conclusions are also presented based on the efforts underway at this time.
