Abstract:

Acquisition of computer hardware and software in order to establish distributed processing and a local area network at the Air Force Weapons Lab has greatly streamlined two structural analysis functions in the Civil Engineering Research Division. A sample solution of a structure is used to show how distributed processing and the application of two computer codes (MOVIE. BYU and EXPERT) have aided in the theoretical modeling and field test analysis in the division.
