Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate factors affecting the optimum operations of coagulation-flocculation and filtration processes in municipal wastewater reclamation and reuse. Special reference is made to the recently completed five-year study at Castroville, California, the 'Monterey Wastewater Reclamation Study for Agriculture' (MWRSA), where pertinent data, collected at the Castroville Wastewater Treatment Plant, are used to assess design and operational variations of the above treatment processes.
