Abstract:

The ASCE Board of Direction is debating whether to admit to associate membership (lowest voting grade) four-year technology graduates on the same basis as BSCE graduates. Today, the latter need simply graduate to become associate members; the technology graduates must pass the EIT (Engineer in Training) exam as well. Two veteran ASCE members with long experience in practice and education debate the issue.
