Abstract:

The authors examined a variety of possible research topics including identification and detection of nonlinearities, model improvement approaches, damage identification, power estimation for nonlinearity representations, and effect of data processing techniques on structural identification. The purpose of this paper is to present the authors' viewpoints on these research topics. An overview of the subject area is given along with a description of various aspects of structural identification. Possible approaches are suggested.
