Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Dynamic Response of Structures

Abstract:

Special features of the earthquake-response analysis of cable-stayed bridges, subjected to multiple-support excitation, are presented including a basis for calculation of seismic forces and deformations of such long-span, three-dimensional and flexible structures. Significant comments and recommendations for the earthquake-resistant design of such bridges are also presented.
