Hysteretic Behavior of Composite Diaphragmsby William S. Easterling, Iowa State Univ, Ames, IA, USA,
Max L. Porter, Iowa State Univ, Ames, IA, USA,
Abstract: Floor systems constructed with steel-deck-reinforced concrete are described. When used to resist lateral loads these systems are referred to as diaphragms. A description of a test arrangement, along with test results for 14 diaphragms are presented. The relative energy dissipation levels between the different tests are discussed.
