Abstract:

Fluor Engineers is a full-service international engineering firm serving the process and energy industries. In conjunction with other Fluor subsidiaries, Daniel Constructors and Fluor Constructors, they offer a complete, total responsibility engineering, procurement and construction capability. Total responsibility projects, especially in the process plant and oil/gas offshore platform sectors, are usually 'fast track. ' To accommodate this, Fluor has continually looked for ways to automate the engineering function. In addition to using computers for the computational intensive calculations, and for project management systems, we have automated a significant part of the design and drafting functions. This part of the company's business author will be addressing in the article.
