Abstract:

This paper gives a description of Topology-1, which attempts to provide a tool for object and space modeling through the use of knowledge engineering techniques. It elaborates the system configuration, and the knowledge about topology, geometry and attributes of objects and spaces. Further the operation of the system is described. Finally an example is presented which demonstrates its reasoning capability in the design appraisal of a building.
