Abstract:

Public concern about the adequacy of the urban drainage system rises and falls with the rainfall patterns. Because the 'problem' depends on many variables, including the cost to solve it, the study and assessment of the urban drainage system can be quite comprehensive. This paper presents various facets of a number of studies on Midwest urban drainage systems to indicate how important certain factors can be in developing a solution to a 'problem'.
