Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Uplift Behavior of Anchor Foundations in Soil

Abstract:

Some recent laboratory model test results for the ultimate pullout resistance of a square anchor inclined at angles of 0, 20, 50, 75, and 90 degrees with respect to the horizontal have been presented. The existing studies as related to the net ultimate pullout resistance of horizontal, inclined, and vertical anchor plates embedded in saturated or near saturated clayey soils have been reviewed.
